As tempting as it is to double park for a moment or park in the red zone, it impedes traffic and causes safety issues. So, please find a parking spot. Long-term, let's all work together to have the city create a loading zone area on Eastus in front of the Minor League Field. This would allow drop-offs, which would be particularly good for our Challenger league players and their families. And kids, play on the field, not on the street.

We are doing a great job of this in 2012 and this is just a reminder that we are responsible for keeping the Moreland Little League facility clean. And parents and kids, pick up trash when you see it; just like the MLL player did in the above video.

Only Swing Bats in the Batter’s Box

Bats are fun and useful for hitting baseballs, but its easy for them to become a weapon. The only time to swing a bat is when you are at the plate and you have a strike (don't be fooled by those high ones out of the strike zone). When you are in the dugout, keep the bat on the ground. When you are on deck and watching the pitcher, no swinging. In practice, only swing the bat when a coach says its OK. And besides wildly swinging the bat with other kids around and in the dugout, can you identify one other thing that is wrong?
